Business Process Overview

The Establish and Maintain Inter/IntraUnit Accruals business process is within the Inter/IntraUnit (IU) business process grouping. IU includes a collection of business processes that:

Dependencies and Constraints describe any conditions or criteria that impact how or when the business process should be executed. These could be set within Florida PALM or from external sources (i.e., Law or Rule).

  • An IU Accrual must be interfaced from an agency business system, loaded using a spreadsheet upload or manually created in Florida PALM.
  • An IU Accrual manually created in Florida PALM is subject to the approval process.
  • An IU Accrual is subject to DFS BFR and Auditing criteria regardless of method of entry.
  • Only IU transactions can pay against an IU Accrual to reduce the balances; AP payments cannot be used for this purpose.
  • IU Accrual balances may be increased or decreased with an Accrual Balance Adjustment transaction.
