GL Reporter

Role Description and Responsibilities

The GL Reporter role is the agency DFS end user role who can run GL Reports and accessing GL data via queries. Role responsibilities include:

• Runs and views pre-built GL queries.
• Runs and views delivered and custom GL reports.
• Views:
  • Trees
  • Inquiry pages
  • Budget/cash-related inquiry pages
  • Budget/cash exception-related inquiry pages
  • Investment Activity Inquiry Page

Conflicts with Other Roles

The table below includes the roles that conflict with the GL Reporter, including separation of duty (SOD) conflicts and system enforced restrictions. If an agency identifies a SOD conflict that cannot be resolved, the agency must submit justification and compensating controls to Division of Accounting and Auditing (A&A) to request an exception. A&A will review the agency’s submitted request to determine if an exception will be granted.

• A GL Reporter can run GL reports within the Account Management and Financial Reporting Business Process Flows. This role is automatically assigned to the GL Journal Processor and/or GL Journal Approver role and does not require a separate assignment.
• The GL Reporter role works collaboratively with the Agency COA Maintainer, Agency GL Journal Processor, DFS COA Maintainer, DFS Journal Processor, and KK Budget Processor.
