Role Description and Responsibilities

The Agency AM Asset Custodian is responsible for asset management and has the ability to perform physical inventory. Role responsibilities include:

• Identifies asset records applicable for InterUnit transfer, IntraUnit transfer and disposal.
• View asset records.
• Updates asset physical information.

Conflicts with Other Roles 

The table below includes the roles that conflict with the Agency AM Asset Custodian, including separation of duty (SOD) conflicts and system enforced restrictions. If an agency identifies a SOD conflict that cannot be resolved, the agency must submit justification and compensating controls to Division of Accounting and Auditing (A&A) to request an exception. A&A will review the agency’s submitted request to determine if an exception will be granted.

• The Agency AM Asset Custodian can view asset records created by an Agency AM F&A Processor or Agency AM Asset Processor. This role can also view Asset InterUnit Transfers, IntraUnit Transfers and disposals approved by an Agency Asset Approver or executed by an Agency AM Asset Processor.
